Your Worth Collaborative Community Agreement

What the Collaborative is for:

This is a space for thoughtful, psychologically safe conversations about money.

It exists to reduce isolation , not increase pressure.

The goal is not to optimize each other.
The goal is to understand ourselves and each other more deeply.

To protect that, we follow a few shared agreements:

1. Speak from your own experience

Use language like:

  • “What I’ve noticed…”
  • “What’s been true for me…”

Instead of:

  • “You should…”
  • “Here’s what you need to do…”

We prioritize sharing over directing.

2. No advice without consent

Please do not offer advice unless someone has clearly asked for it.

Even then, keep it grounded in your own experience , not prescriptions.

When in doubt:

Ask first.

3. We prioritize understanding over fixing

It’s natural to want to help.

In this space, “helping” looks like listening, reflecting, and being present, not jumping in to solve.

This means we avoid:

  • trying to fix someone’s situation
  • over-explaining what they “could do”
  • offering solutions they didn’t ask for
  • jumping ahead to outcomes instead of staying with their experience

Even well-intentioned responses like:

  • “Have you tried…”
  • “What you should do is…”
  • “The best way to handle that is…”

can unintentionally feel like pressure or correction.

Instead, we lean toward:

  • “That makes sense”
  • “I’ve felt something similar”
  • “Do you want input, or just space to talk this through?”

You don’t need to solve anything here.

4. No selling, promotion, or networking

This is not a space to:

  • promote services
  • build a client base
  • network for business

There are plenty of spaces for that.
This is not one of them.

5. Protect privacy (yours and others’)

  • Share only what you feel comfortable sharing
  • Do not ask others for personal or identifying information
  • You may use any name you’d like

What’s shared here stays here.

No screenshots, sharing, or reposting without explicit written permission from Hanna Morrell.

6. No shame, judgment, or moralizing

No:

  • financial shaming
  • “good/bad with money” language
  • superiority or comparison

This is a space for curiosity, not critique.

7. This is a peer space, not professional advice

Nothing shared here is:

  • financial advice
  • legal or tax advice
  • therapy or mental health care

Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t.

8. Respect the space

If something feels off, report it, and it will be addressed.

Most situations will be handled with care and curiosity.

However, the following may result in immediate removal (without refund):

  • selling or promotion
  • asking for personal information
  • harmful or unsafe behavior
  • repeated disregard for these agreements

9. This is a shared space

This community works because of how we show up for each other.

You don’t need to perform.
You don’t need to have answers.
You don’t need to be “good” at money.

You just need to be willing to be thoughtful, respectful, and real.

Final note

This space is being built slowly and intentionally.

Thank you for helping protect what makes it different
