A: In our long experience teaching people how to trust themselves with their money, we’ve never met anyone who is just “bad at money”. More likely you’ve been given a set of tools that aren’t working for you. But very often we don’t evaluate the money tools we use, only ourselves. That will only deepen the shame and amplify the impact of financial trauma. Plus, this isn’t a workbook on budgeting, but on changing your relationship with money.
Q: “Can I do this on my own time?”
A: Absolutely! This workbook is designed to be done over a period of days or even weeks. Take your time. Truly, the slower you go through this workbook, the better it will work!
Q: “What do I need to do to make sure I’m successful in using this workbook?”
A: The single biggest thing you can do to be successfull with this workbook, or any attempt at trusting yourself with your money, is to be patient and gentle with yourself. I know that’s not an easy thing to ask, but we’ve seen this over and over again… the gentler someone is on themselves, the easier this work gets!
